Those going to see the remake of the sci fi classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still, starring Keanu Reeves on Friday, Dec 12th will get a special treat…(and no, I will not be at your local theater showing off my popcorn snake)…instead you’ll just have to settle for…the X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer!  Woo Hoo!

According to the IGN “exclusive” interview with 20th Century Fox, the trailer will not be showing online “officially” anytime soon…

…so if you want to see it “legally”, you are just gonna have to fork over the dough to watch The Day the Earth Stood Still movie in theaters.

Keanu may be vomiting right now after watching the first screening of his latest acting performance, but I have a pretty good feeling, after seeing the last trailer that this movie might actually be pretty fucking good.  The war scenes, the “black dust” and Gort’s appearance (no cock sucking, marketing bullshit surprise at the end like Cloverfield) look pretty bad ass.  Although I do have to say the original S&M safety word ending (Klaatu barada nikto: roughly translated to “Keanu Swallows”) for those that missed the original, was kind of a let down, but the effects in the remake should make up for a crappy ending in this one.  So maybe it’ll be worth it to see both…
